Looking ahead to the fall:
I'm wanting to do a series in the preteen group on spiritual gifts. Anyone know of any good inventories, ideas, curriculum?

I don't have anything, but I am looking to create a special pre-teen class this fall. I'm really excited about it!
I'd recommend picking up some jr. high or high school material for your group and using that.
Yeah, I looked for some jr high stuff yesterday, but I didn't see anything on spiritual gifts. I think I'll adapt the one the adult class is using.
YEA! Preteen class! You'll love it! I look forward to reading about it.
[you don't have to post this] It's fun and exciting for people to do gift and personality inventories but my pet peeve is that, after at least 10 different inventories over 30 years and 5 different church situations, I have yet to be part of a group that actually does something with the information afterwards.
Yeah, I know that pet peeve well. The adults are doing an inventory, and I'm not sure what they have in store for a follow up, but I plan to have people from different areas of the church come in and talk about ways kids could serve using each type of gift and then hook them up with a service day. I'll post more on that later.
