Conferences

Headed to INCM's Children's Ministry Seminar in Fort Worth this weekend.

Anyone else know of any good conferences/worshops? I know there's an INCM children's pastor's conference. Is it a good one? How about Promiseland? APCE?

Others?

I have been to INCM's Children's Pastors Conference. It is ok for those who are either just starting out or want to learn a lot about crafts and stuff.

Other than that I have been disappointed.

I went to APCE in St. Louis this year. Nice to meet with other Presbyterians, but again, too much like CPC.

I also went to the Children's Spirituality Conference in Chicago this year. That was amazing, but sadly it is only once ever 3 years.

I am looking for a good conference for next year too. No luck yet.

Promiseland is great - the first time I went we weren't using their curriculum and I still found it helpful.

I've heard good things about Saddlebacks and Northpoints conferences as well - I hope to get to one of those this next year.

I went to a couple of Workshop Rotation Conferences as well - they were pretty good too.

I hear that KidzBlitz is doing one in the Caribbean - or on a cruise ship - that sounds beautiful to this Minnesota girl!

If you come to the one in Chicago, you have a place to sleep if you need it- I might even be convinced to go!!!

Although, it would be wasted for a time, as I’m not doing any child or teen ministry at this time - I am sure you can figure out why.

Sooner or later tho’ things will change and then look out!!! Any up keeping of the conferences are definitely not a bad idea!!!

Miss you friend!!
